The Death of Moses
1#Dt 32:49; Nu 27:12Moses went up from the plains of Moab to Mount Nebo, to the top of Pisgah, which is opposite Jericho. Then the Lord showed him all the land—from Gilead to Dan, 2#Dt 11:24and all Naphtali and the land of Ephraim and Manasseh, and all the land of Judah, to the Mediterranean Sea, 3#Jdg 1:16; 3:13and the Negev and the plain of the valley of Jericho, the city of palm trees, as far as Zoar. 4#Ge 12:7; 28:13The Lord said to him, “This is the land which I swore to Abraham, to Isaac, and to Jacob, saying, ‘I will give it to your descendants.’ I have caused you to see it with your eyes, but you will not cross over there.”

His eye was not dim, nor was his vitality diminished. 8#Ge 50:3; 50:10The children of Israel wept for Moses in the plains of Moab thirty days. Then the days of weeping and mourning for Moses were ended.
