The Generations of David
2Sa 3:2–5; 5:14–16; 1Ch 14:4–7
1#2Sa 3:2–5; Jos 15:56Now these were the sons of David, who were born to him in Hebron:
The firstborn was Amnon by Ahinoam the Jezreelitess;
the second, Daniel by Abigail the Carmelitess;
2the third was Absalom the son of Maakah, the daughter of Talmai king of Geshur;
the fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3the fifth, Shephatiah by Abital;
the sixth, Ithream by Eglah his wife.
4#2Sa 2:11; 5:4–5Six sons were born to him in Hebron, and he reigned there seven years and six months.
He also reigned thirty-three years in Jerusalem. 5#2Sa 11:3; 12:24–25Now these were born to him in Jerusalem:
Shimea, Shobab, Nathan, and Solomon, four sons by Bathsheba the daughter of Ammiel; 6#2Sa 5:15; 1Ch 14:5then Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet, 7Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia, 8#1Ch 14:7Elishama, Eliada, and Eliphelet, nine. 9These were all the sons of David, besides the sons of the concubines, and Tamar their sister.

Jeconiah his son
and Zedekiah his son.
The Post-Exilic Royal Line
17#Ezr 3:2; 5:2The sons of Jeconiah were Assir,
Shealtiel his son, 18Malkiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama, and Nedabiah.
19#Ezr 2:2; 3:2The sons of Pedaiah were
Zerubbabel and Shimei,
and the sons of Zerubbabel were
Meshullam and Hananiah,
and Shelomith was their sister;
20and Hashubah, Ohel, Berekiah, Hasadiah, and Jushab-Hesed, five.
21The sons of Hananiah were
Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, the sons of Rephaiah, the sons of Arnan, the sons of Obadiah, and the sons of Shekaniah.
22#Ezr 8:2The sons of Shekaniah were
Shemaiah and the sons of Shemaiah:
Hattush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat, six in all.
23The sons of Neariah were
Elioenai, Hizkiah, and Azrikam, three in all.
24The sons of Elioenai were
Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah, and Anani, seven in all.

David’s Descendants
1Now these were the sons of David who were born to him in Hebron: the firstborn was Amnon, by Ahinoam the Jezreelite woman; second, Daniel, by Abigail the Carmelite woman;
2third, Absalom the son of Maacah the daughter of King Talmai of Geshur; fourth, Adonijah the son of Haggith;
3fifth, Shephatiah by Abital; the sixth, Ithream by his wife Eglah.
4Six were born to him in Hebron. There he reigned seven years and six months; then in Jerusalem he reigned 33 years.
5These were born to him in Jerusalem: Shimea, Shobab, Nathan and Solomon. These four were from Bath-shua the daughter of Ammiel;
6and the other nine were Ibhar, Elishama, Eliphelet,
7Nogah, Nepheg, Japhia,
8Elishama, Eliada and Eliphelet.
9All these were sons of David, besides his sons by the concubines. Tamar was their sister.
10Solomon’s son was Rehoboam. Abijah was his son, Asa his son, Jehoshaphat his son,
11Joram his son, Ahaziah his son, Joash his son,
12Amaziah his son, Azariah his son, Jotham his son,
13Ahaz his son, Hezekiah his son, Manasseh his son,
14Amon his son, and Josiah his son.
15The sons of Josiah: Johanan the firstborn, Jehoiakim the second, Zedekiah the third, and Shallum the fourth.
16The sons of Jehoiakim: Jeconiah was his son, Zedekiah his son.
17The sons of Jeconiah, the captive: Shealtiel his son,
18Malchiram, Pedaiah, Shenazzar, Jekamiah, Hoshama and Nedabiah.
19The sons of Pedaiah: Zerubbabel and Shimei. The sons of Zerubbabel: Meshullam and Hananiah; Shelomith was their sister,
20and five others: Hashubah, Ohel, Berechiah, Hasadiah and Jushabhesed.
21The sons of Hananiah: Pelatiah and Jeshaiah, whose son was Rephaiah, whose son was Arnan, whose son was Obadiah, whose son was Shecaniah.
22The descendants of Shecaniah: Shemaiah and sons Hatush, Igal, Bariah, Neariah, and Shaphat—six in all.
23The sons of Neariah: Elioenai, Hizkiah and Azrikam—three in all.
24The sons of Elioenai were Hodaviah, Eliashib, Pelaiah, Akkub, Johanan, Delaiah and Anani—seven in all.
