1Now this is the genealogy of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. #Gen. 9:1, 7, 19And sons were born to them after the flood.
2#1 Chr. 1:5–7The sons of Japheth were Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, and Tiras. 3The sons of Gomer were Ashkenaz, Riphath, and Togarmah. 4The sons of Javan were Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, and Dodanim. 5From these #Gen. 11:8; Ps. 72:10; Jer. 2:10; 25:22the coastland peoples of the Gentiles were separated into their lands, everyone according to his language, according to their families, into their nations.

8Cush begot #Mic. 5:6Nimrod; he began to be a mighty one on the earth. 9He was a mighty #Jer. 16:16; Mic. 7:2hunter before the Lord; therefore it is said, “Like Nimrod the mighty hunter #Gen. 21:20before the Lord.” 10#Mic. 5:6And the beginning of his kingdom was #Gen. 11:9Babel, Erech, Accad, and Calneh, in the land of Shinar. 11From that land he went to #Gen. 25:18; 2 Kin. 19:36; Mic. 5:6Assyria and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, 12and Resen between Nineveh and Calah (that is the principal city).
13Mizraim begot Ludim, Anamim, Lehabim, Naphtuhim, 14Pathrusim, and Casluhim #1 Chr. 1:12(from whom came the Philistines and Caphtorim).
15Canaan begot Sidon his firstborn, and #Gen. 23:3Heth; 16#Gen. 14:7; 15:19–21; Deut. 7:1; Neh. 9:8the Jebusite, the Amorite, and the Girgashite; 17the Hivite, the Arkite, and the Sinite; 18the Arvadite, the Zemarite, and the Hamathite. Afterward the families of the Canaanites were dispersed. 19#Gen. 13:12, 14, 15, 17; 15:18–21; Num. 34:2–12And the border of the Canaanites was from Sidon as you go toward Gerar, as far as Gaza; then as you go toward Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, and Zeboiim, as far as Lasha. 20These were the sons of Ham, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands and in their nations.
21And children were born also to Shem, the father of all the children of Eber, the brother of Japheth the elder. 22The #Gen. 11:10–26; 1 Chr. 1:17–28sons of Shem were Elam, Asshur, #Gen. 10:24; 11:10; Luke 3:36Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram. 23The sons of Aram were Uz, Hul, Gether, and Mash. 24Arphaxad begot #Gen. 11:12; Luke 3:35Salah, and Salah begot Eber. 25#1 Chr. 1:19To Eber were born two sons: the name of one was Peleg, for in his days the earth was divided; and his brother’s name was Joktan. 26Joktan begot Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, 27Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, 28Obal, Abimael, Sheba, 29Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab. All these were the sons of Joktan. 30And their dwelling place was from Mesha as you go toward Sephar, the mountain of the east. 31These were the sons of Shem, according to their families, according to their languages, in their lands, according to their nations.
32#Gen. 10:1These were the families of the sons of Noah, according to their generations, in their nations; #Gen. 9:19; 11:8and from these the nations were divided on the earth after the flood.

The Family Tree of Noah’s Sons
1This is the family tree of the sons of Noah: Shem, Ham, and Japheth. After the flood, they themselves had sons.
2The sons of Japheth: Gomer, Magog, Madai, Javan, Tubal, Meshech, Tiras.
3The sons of Gomer: Ashkenaz, Riphath, Togarmah.
4-5The sons of Javan: Elishah, Tarshish, Kittim, Rodanim. The seafaring peoples developed from these, each in its own place by family, each with its own language.
6The sons of Ham: Cush, Egypt, Put, Canaan.
7The sons of Cush: Seba, Havilah, Sabtah, Raamah, Sabteca.
The sons of Raamah: Sheba, Dedan.
8-12Cush also had Nimrod. He was the first great warrior on Earth. He was a great hunter before God. There was a saying, “Like Nimrod, a great hunter before God.” His kingdom got its start with Babel; then Erech, Akkad, and Calneh in the country of Shinar. From there he went up to Asshur and built Nineveh, Rehoboth Ir, Calah, and Resen between Nineveh and the great city Calah.
13-14Egypt was ancestor to the Ludim, the Anamim, the Lehabim, the Naphtuhim, the Pathrusim, the Casluhim (the origin of the Philistines), and the Kaphtorim.
15-19Canaan had Sidon his firstborn, Heth, the Jebusites, the Amorites, the Girgashites, the Hivites, the Arkites, the Sinites, the Arvadites, the Zemarites, and the Hamathites. Later the Canaanites spread out, going from Sidon toward Gerar, as far south as Gaza, and then east all the way over to Sodom, Gomorrah, Admah, Zeboiim, and on to Lasha.
20These are the descendants of Ham by family, language, country, and nation.
21Shem, the older brother of Japheth, also had sons. Shem was ancestor to all the children of Eber.
22The sons of Shem: Elam, Asshur, Arphaxad, Lud, and Aram.
23The sons of Aram: Uz, Hul, Gether, Meshech.
24-25Arphaxad had Shelah and Shelah had Eber. Eber had two sons, Peleg (so named because in his days the human race divided) and Joktan.
26-30Joktan had Almodad, Sheleph, Hazarmaveth, Jerah, Hadoram, Uzal, Diklah, Obal, Abimael, Sheba, Ophir, Havilah, and Jobab—all sons of Joktan. Their land goes from Mesha toward Sephar as far as the mountain ranges in the east.
31These are the descendants of Shem by family, language, country, and nation.
32This is the family tree of the sons of Noah as they developed into nations. From them nations developed all across the Earth after the flood.
