I Corinthians 15:19

There is a lie life tells over time, that the best days are already gone. For the believer in Jesus, that lie collapses under the promise of resurrection. God’s plan does not peak here. It moves toward transformation and an eternal glory beyond comparison. What is ahead will far outweigh what is behind. This hope anchors the heart in the truth that the greatest chapter is still to come.

A paradox is a truth that appears contradictory but proves to be profoundly true. At the heart of Christianity stands the greatest paradox of all—the cross. Through the death of Jesus, sinners receive life, the guilty receive forgiveness, and the condemned receive hope. In this series, we will discover how God's power is displayed through apparent weakness, His kingdom advances through unlikely people, and our hope and victory are secured through the death and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Together, these paradoxes reveal that God's wisdom and ways are far greater than human understanding.

On Easter, we celebrate the hope of new life that Jesus brings into each of our lives, and even more, into the whole world. The earth-shattering thing that happened on this day changes everything. In this four-day series from Words of Hope, consider the life-changing hope of Easter as we read John's account of Jesus' death and resurrection.
