What Type of Leader Are You Becoming?

“For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.” – Philippians 2:13 NLT

When it comes to the role you play at work and home, what type of leader are you becoming?

• Are you humble, recognizing your leadership is for the benefit of others?
• Are you accessible, making yourself available so you can equip people to do their best work for God’s glory?
• Are you aware that your team is serving one another and the stakeholders in your organization?
• Are you empowering, supporting, and equipping everyone you meet and with whom you interact?
• Are you full of grace, recognizing that everyone is trying to survive and thrive, and nobody is perfect?

God cares about who you are and who you are becoming. He will make you more like Jesus and a beautiful, unique expression of what it means to be human.

Today is your moment to be more like and help others become more like Christ.

For reflection:

Father, I know that your ultimate goal is for me to be more like Jesus — to be transformed and conformed — so you can point to me as an example of your kindness. Fill me with your Holy Spirit and empower me to point people to Jesus.

Lord, make me aware of the desire and purpose which you’ve put in me. When anxiety may be high and the future uncertain, help me be the type of leader Jesus was — and is — so that you are pleased. Amen.
