What do we need to be aware of? We have to realize that we are a mess, and that we need Jesus Before you can deal with a mess, you need to see the mess, admit the mess, and ask for Jesus to help straighten it out. This is why awareness is such an important step - most people never even take this first step. Sometimes, it's because of their spiritual blind spots, sometimes it's because they think it's someone elses fault. Sometimes its because we settle, we don't think we can change - we lose hope so we give up any chance of living a new life of freedom.
