What words best describe you?

How can one name or title fully define/describe God?
Names of God (Pt. 1): ELOHIM
• The root word "El" was used to describe other "gods" in ancient times.
• Elohim is the first name God ascribes to Himself. (Genesis 1:1)
• It is found over 30 times in the first chapter of Genesis.
• It is found over 2,500 times in the Old Testament.
1. God (ELOHIM) is the Creator.

The first name God uses for Himself in scripture addresses His might or power.

Two reasons God used Elohim first:
• To establish that His power is unlimited.
• To establish that our power is delegated.
